Lot shape and size. Property boundaries. The condition of a building. The arrangement of pipes, valves, and equipment.

The first step in changing a property or facility is understanding what’s already there, whether a land development, construction, capital improvement, or infrastructure project. Accurate mapping leads to better planning, design, construction, and maintenance.

RETTEW offers a broad spectrum of surveying services with a variety of equipment, including total stations, GPS, laser scanners, cameras, and drones. Every method has advantages and best practices; we’ll work with you to understand your needs and choose the approach to best fit your site, budget, and schedule.

The nature of the site work necessitated a surveying crew with a unique set of credentials: HAZWOPER trained, medically cleared, railway and safety trained. – Greg Zimmerman, Neumeyer Environmental Services

RETTEW offers many options for end products. Traditionally, measurements and other information have been delivered as two-dimensional drawings, but RETTEW can also provide GIS files, or host information in an online geodatabase. Visual documentation such as photos, videos, and panoramic tours are stored and available online; high-resolution (design accurate) mapping can be hosted on the Internet and loaded in Google Earth, AutoCAD, or ArcGIS. Scanning and photo documentation completed from a drone or from the ground both produce point cloud data, which can be used alone in a web viewer, in AutoCAD, or to draft 3D models or drawings.

The RETTEW surveying team puts clients’ success first; your long-term plans and overarching goals guide our professional recommendations. We’re responsive, operate with integrity, and provide accurate, interactive data to keep projects on schedule and within budget. RETTEW is one of the largest, most-trusted surveying providers in Pennsylvania, a reputation that has followed us into more than 30 states. Our surveying team maintains the highest level of safety certifications and technical competency. And, since we’re a multidisciplinary engineering firm, our surveying team works together with other groups to keep projects moving.
