Bank Branch Site Redevelopment

One of the largest banking institutions in the United States was looking to expand its presence in the Pittsburgh region. Because of our existing relationship with the commercial real estate services and investment firm that oversees the development and expansion projects for the banking institution, RETTEW was asked to assist in redeveloping multiple sites for new bank branches, including one in Collier Township. Project challenges included determining the feasibility of the site while minimizing the impact to the existing restaurant’s operations and customers, then establishing an ideal schedule and method for demolishing the existing structure.

RETTEW performed a variety of services including obtaining a setback variance because of narrow site constraints, and conducting geotechnical and infiltration studies to create an underground storm system, which provided additional space for the development to occur. RETTEW also developed the site layout and completed traffic analyses to help avoid a lengthy Highway Occupancy Permit approval process. Our land development and civil engineering support allowed the development of this new bank branch project to proceed on time and on budget.
