The Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences was relocating to a new, 25-acre campus in East Lampeter Township. The move offered numerous opportunities for growing the college’s infrastructure, pedestrian movement, and open spaces. With campus improvements encompassing more than 300,000-SF of academic, administrative, and fitness and wellness spaces, the College needed local approvals to proceed with redeveloping the site, including increasing parking, pedestrian walkways, and accessibility to the campus, and opening for students in a short time period.
The new center for learning has sufficient capacity for 5,000 students and supporting faculty and staff, which supports the overall growth of the institution. The new space is designed for both students and faculty to interact with each other in shared spaces and large open areas, encouraging collaboration and innovation. RETTEW’s multidiscipline team was instrumental in gaining all necessary approvals, streamlining design, and keeping the detailed and aggressive construction schedule on track.
