Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community needed to expand its existing facilities to offer a larger variety of living options to current and future residents. The property’s topography was extremely varied, creating planning and development difficulties that became even more challenging when considering the needs of older adults. The new design also needed to integrate with the current community and provide easy access for residents to all areas.
RETTEW worked with the owner, architect, and contractor on site grading and zoning constraints to synchronize their visions with the reality of the landscape. RETTEW worked with the architect to develop an expansion that will include cottages, villas, and apartments for a total of 180 units as well as a new community building; we also designed sidewalks and walking paths to increase pedestrian circulation throughout the neighborhood. RETTEW delivered a streamlined solution to our client with minimal impact on the project budget and timeline.
