CNH Industrial Finished Goods Yard Paving Feasibility Study

When manufacturing capital goods for the agricultural, construction, and commercial markets, it’s essential your facility has a stable yard for storage. CNH Industrial manufactures everything from tractors and combines to firefighting and civil protection vehicles. And with recurring rutting, soft areas, and mud throughout their finished goods yard, they needed economical pavement options to correct these issues and increase yard management efficiencies.

RETTEW evaluated numerous surface treatment alternatives, costs, and other factors the client had not previously considered. Our evaluation encompassed environmental restrictions, stormwater conveyance facilities, an alternate truck route, and opportunities for additional storage. The information we provided helped CNH Industrial plan for their capital expenditures. They ultimately selected reinforced gravel because it was the most cost-effective solution and least burdensome from a regulatory compliance perspective. Trucks can now transport finished goods in and out of the yard with ease, stored machinery and equipment are safe and secure on the gravel yard, and CNH Industrial is free from the costs and downtime previously incurred from these site challenges.
