Kirby Feed Mill Expansion

Our client, the largest wholesale fertilizer distributor in the northeast and mid-Atlantic, wanted to expand their feed mill at its current location, rather than moving operations to a new site. The plan allowed the client to use an existing rail spur and realize cost savings in the expansion process. The construction needed to take place while the mill remained active.

Because of our proximity, technical knowledge, experience with the local municipality, and our ability to provide the necessary services in house, the client chose RETTEW for this project. We secured the required height variance and land development approvals quickly to keep the expansion moving forward. RETTEW’s understanding of the Township’s regulations facilitated project approval one month ahead of schedule, which enabled construction to begin sooner and allowed for extra time to complete construction. Our team of seasoned advisors and designers enabled construction of the facility and its infrastructure to occur without disruption to the existing operations.
