Health and Safety Gap Analysis

RETTEW provided a gap analysis for an equity firm where we evaluated the effectiveness of their occupational health and safety programs. The primary purpose of this audit was to identify health and safety hazards, assess the effectiveness of the current measures in place to control those hazards, and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration’s (OSHA) standards throughout their documentation and operations. By conducting this audit, RETTEW helped the client improve their health and safety performance, reduce potential liabilities, and demonstrate their commitment to a safe and healthy work environment.

Before arriving at the site, RETTEW began the audit by reviewing the company’s extensive documentation, including safety manuals, job hazard assessments, prior incident investigations, standard operating procedures, waste handling processes, risk assessments, and OSHA regulatory evaluations. Once on site, RETTEW checked for any potential safety hazards. The comprehensive audit identified best safety practices and included a final report outlining the risks, hazards of the site, and recommendations to comply with current safety regulations and standards.

RETTEW met and reviewed all findings with the client, demonstrating how the final report could serve as a valuable tool in enhancing their health and safety culture and achieving their goals.
