Manufacturing Plant Fall Protection Training

As a food manufacturer planned for construction, they wanted to develop and install proper fall protection design and specifications but didn’t have the in-house staff to oversee daily construction work. The plant wanted to install the fall protection equipment without impacting daily production, quality, or safety of the machinery and workers.

As an existing consultant already knowledgeable of the facility and its processes, RETTEW provided a variety of fall protection solution options that yielded considerable cost savings and helped determine the optimal solution for the client’s various applications. We trained contractors in quality and safety requirements for the facility and provided contractor oversight during installations. RETTEW’s work ensured that production went uninterrupted and that the plant maintained quality standards. Our scheduling services also helped minimize the client’s need for day-to-day involvement and avoided construction delays. This fall protection project not only reduced risk by increasing safety standards during construction, but it also allowed the client to continue operating at quality production levels and provided safe access to equipment for preventative maintenance efforts — something previously not sustained at the plant during other construction work.
