RETTEW was selected by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) to design a parking lot and boat launch expansion project at Piedmont Lake. The goal of the project is to provide 50 parking spaces for trailers and additional regular vehicle spaces, handicap-accessible parking, restroom facilities, ADA-compliant ramps and access, bioretention areas, lighting design, and a dedicated green space park for lake users. RETTEW generated four alternative designs for the future facility that met both ODNR and MWCD’s requirements. We refined those options into a more detailed submission for the Board to consider. Full design will include surveying, geotechnical, land development planning, construction drawings, and construction administration. Additional services may be required depending on the final design chosen by the Board, such as retaining wall design, roadway realignment services, public utility coordination, solar power design and implementation, subsurface utility engineering services, grant assistance, as-built drone services, and waterfront restoration planning.
