High-Risk Work Program Consultation

To be competitive in today’s manufacturing industry, companies have to constantly monitor and improve their equipment, production levels, and safety performance — all of which are aspects of a high-risk work program. When this large manufacturer had an open position that directly affects these areas, they needed immediate on-site support until someone was hired.

RETTEW provided full- and part-time consulting at two locations in support of this client’s high-risk work program. We completed a thorough audit of all equipment, tools, and machinery at the two sites and performed machine guarding assessments for their packaging lines. To ensure employees at each site were following their environmental health and safety (EHS) action plan, RETTEW also provided technical coaching and training on the topics of lock-out/tag-out, machine guarding, powered industrial vehicles, and electrical safety. The training included a rollout of new high-risk work permits at both locations. Our support role helped meet this client’s safety program objectives and maintain their manufacturing operations during a critical transition period.
