Commercial Boiler Manufacturing Plant Safety Consulting

A leading manufacturer of commercial boilers and related heating, ventilating, and air conditioning products that has been in business for more than 150 years had been operating under outdated workplace safety procedures. In order to come into compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and avoid costly penalties, the client hired RETTEW’s Safety Consulting team to provide complete program management, from on-site activities to equipment specifications and training.

Twenty-four hours after an initial on-site safety evaluation, our team turned around a rapid-service proposal outlining our turnkey approach. Two days later our safety team was on the floor. We addressed permit-required confined space concerns by designing and purchasing custom-made equipment that met OSHA requirements. The equipment was delivered and installed within the week without any interruptions to plant operations. RETTEW provided on-site employee training and support services to help our client develop and implement new and effective safety protocol. As a result of this project, in under a month the client not only brought its manufacturing operations into compliance with OSHA, but they also enhanced employee safety without incurring significant ongoing cost of operations.
